| LG Electronics to Launch 240-Hz LCD TV in Korea |
|
LG Electronics announced on March 4 that it was the first company to release two LCD TVs with 240-Hertz live scan technology, which ensures vibrant images with vivid colors and provides flawless images without motion blur problems, in the domestic market.
The newly launched LCD TVs’ starting prices, excluding prices of TV stands and bracket for plasma panel, stand at 2.5 million won and 1.8 million won for 47-inch and 42-inch, respectively.
The development of 240- Hz technology is remarkable achievement for LG Electronics since its successful commercialization of 120-Hz LCD TV in 2007.
LG’s 240-Hz technology, which is considered more advanced with an application of a backlight scanning technology that drives 240-frames-per-second, displays clear images without blurs that can possibly occur in fast moving clips.
The television is also equipped with ‘Anti Reflection Panel’ that cuts down on glare and reflection from ambient light. Furthermore, with an application of ‘Dual XD Engine’ that adjusts the quality of television pictures in circuit and panel, the television provides bright and vivid colored images.
