Samsung Electronics has been chosen as the most respected company in Korea, a recent survey revealed.



In the survey conducted by Korea Management Association Consultants Inc. (KMAC) on 4,720 corporate executives, 230 securities analysts and 4,560 consumers, Samsung Electronics was crowned the “most admired company” across industries.



The survey was based on six criteria: innovation capability, shareholders’ value, employees’ value, customers’ value, company’s social value and corporate image and the survey results produced two lists: the “All Star” companies’ list of top 30 firms across industries and the list of top companies in 56 fields of industry.



Top 10 in the All Star companies’ list included Samsung Electronics, POSCO, Yuhan-Kimberly, Yuhan Corporation, LG Electronics, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motor, SK Telecom, AhnLab and Samsung Corporation.



Particularly, Doosan Heavy Industries (from 72nd to 17th), Doosan Infracore (from 77th to 29th) and Samsung Tesco Homeplus (52nd to 14th) surged from their ranks in the previous year and put themselves on the All Star companies’ list this year.
